Vattenfall is seeking a Working Student Data Engineer (f/m/d) in Berlin for a temporary, part-time role starting as soon as possible. The position involves supporting modern data platforms, ETL/ELT processes, and analytics solutions within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, working closely with financial systems and agile teams.

Ansvarsområden

  • Support the development and maintenance of data pipelines using modern ETL/ELT approaches
  • Assist in analytics and BI solutions within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem (e.g. Azure Synapse, SQL Pools, Azure SQL Database, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Databricks, Data Factory)
  • Contribute to product and data solution development using Python and SQL
  • Support data modelling and data warehousing activities
  • Work with version control and CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Azure DevOps, Git)
  • Collaborate in agile development teams and actively participate in sprint ceremonies
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical / IT specifications, proactively aligning with other developers

Krav

  • Immatriculated student at a German university
  • Experience or strong interest in analytics, BI, and data engineering, ideally in a cloud environment
  • Good programming skills in Python and SQL
  • Basic understanding of data warehousing and data modelling concepts
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and agile ways of working
  • Strong communication skills in written and spoken English
  • Curious, proactive mindset with the ability to ask questions and seek guidance when needed
  • Strong motivation to learn Power BI dashboard development and data visualization
  • Interest in understanding industry and financial systems, such as SAP ERP, IAM, EAM, SCADA, Profit & Loss statements, and business planning tools
