Alfa Laval is seeking a Weld Team Lead for their 2nd shift in Richmond. This full-time, on-site role involves assembling gasket plate heat exchangers, performing quality welds, and operating machinery. The position requires passing multiple welding tests and demonstrating leadership qualities.

Ansvarsområden

  • Assemble products or components using tools and instructions (diagrams, blueprints).
  • Perform quality checks and document processes.
  • Maintain a clean workspace.
  • Collaborate with teams.
  • Demonstrate proper use and wearing of PPE (Safety Glasses, Steel Toe Shoes and other specific equipment).
  • Receive and process daily work assignments.
  • Learn and receive instructions from the Team Lead.
  • Pass three welding tests (6G Tig pipe test, 1G Tig titanium plate test and 2G flux core weld test).
  • Read a weld map/weld drawing.
  • Perform routine tasks without supervision.
  • Safely operate a crane, fork truck and joey.
  • Perform quality welds.
  • Interact with team members, TL and TM.
  • Participate in daily team discussions.
  • Adapt to changing situations.
  • Work some weekends when required.
  • Arrive to work on time.
  • Conduct yourself in a professional, courteous manner.

Krav

  • Demonstrate proper use and wearing of PPE (Safety Glasses, Steel Toe Shoes and other specific equipment).
  • Be able to learn and receive instructions from the Team Lead.
  • Be able to pass all three-welding tests (6G Tig pipe test, 1G Tig titanium plate test and 2G flux core weld test).

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Prior experience in assembly or a similar role is implied.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations.
  • Willingness to work some weekends when required.
