Sandvik is hiring a full-time Warehouse Lead for the 2nd shift in Romeoville, Illinois. This role involves supporting leadership in daily operations, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment, and contributing to customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in warehousing, distribution, or supply chain, and forklift experience.

Ansvarsområden

  • Support leadership in accomplishing the overall team’s mission and lead natural work teams in day to day operations.
  • Contribute to a clean and safe working environment ensuring an effective and efficient execution of the distribution operations.
  • Adhere to all Sandvik policies, SOPs, safety, and environmental practices.
  • Use correct tools and materials safely in executing operational processes and inspections e.g. MHE.
  • Investigate and report any discrepancies with regard to non-conformance, inventory, safety and other anomalies.
  • Monitor and drive operations performance and quality.
  • Manage resources and make decisions regarding workflow.
  • Assist employees with operational issues to resolve them.
  • Partner with other team leads to drive overall warehouse performance.
  • Drive improvements and/or monitors current processes and policies.
  • Monitor individual and team performance and escalates issues to supervisor/manager as required.
  • Update department communication vessels & performs team communications as assigned by supervisor.
  • Perform all functions within department.
  • Accurately perform Value Added Service (VAS) functions on customer orders (e.g., applying customer specified item numbers, labelling, packaging, supplying correct paperwork).
  • Accurate reporting of completed packages/shipments, separating packages by carrier and service.
  • Report all found non-conformances.
  • Follow instructions by leadership.
  • Labor share throughout facility.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects.
  • Warehouse administration and housekeeping.

Krav

  • 5+ years’ experience in Warehousing/ Distribution/ Supply Chain environment.
  • Forklift driving experience/certification.
  • Ability to use RFT, Warehouse Management System, Badge related systems and other warehouse systems as assigned.
  • High School or equivalent experience.
  • Must be able to read and interpret customer orders, procedures and policies.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to managers, supervisors, team leads and other employees to address customer or warehouse issues.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Post-secondary education/training in business or supply chain discipline would be of advantage.
  • Desirable English Proficiency: Upper Intermediate (CEFR B2/ Completed EF level 9)
