I korthet
Sandvik Ground Support is looking for experienced, safety-focused Underground Operators for their Ground Consolidation team in Queensland. This casual role involves operating underground mining equipment, installing support structures, and performing roadway maintenance on a 7 days on/7 days off roster.
Ansvarsområden
- Operate underground mining equipment and mobile plant.
- Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
- Install standing support structures and ventilation devices.
- Support the application of chemical injection products.
- Complete roof and rib bolting and other strata support activities.
- Operate and maintain pumps and other underground equipment.
- Assist with roadway maintenance.
- Conduct pre-operational and post-operational equipment inspections.
- Complete required safety documentation.
- Maintain clear communication with crew members and provide effective shift handovers.
- Support daily and weekly operational plans and performance targets.
- Maintain high housekeeping and safety standards underground.
Krav
- Previous experience working in underground mining.
- A valid underground mining licence and relevant certifications.
- Sound knowledge of underground safety procedures and mine navigation.
- Strong mechanical awareness and basic troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work safely in confined, dark and physically demanding environments.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to obtain and maintain competency across relevant equipment, including bolters, shuttle cars, loaders, drift runners and QDS implements.
- Right to live and work in Australia.
Önskade kvalifikationer
- Experience operating bolters, shuttle cars, loaders, drift runners and QDS implements is preferred.
