Transportation Operations (TOC) manages the transportation execution across Amazon's supply chain network, ensuring timely pick-up and delivery of freight. The role involves resolving exceptions, analyzing network data, and driving process improvements. The Transportation Representative will facilitate communication between stakeholders and resolve issues impacting customer experience and business continuity.

Ansvarsområden

  • Facilitate flow of information between different stakeholders (Trans Carriers/Hubs/Warehouses)
  • Resolve any potential issues that impacts customer experience and business continuity
  • Address potential issues occurring during the lifecycle of pick-up to delivery (Inbound Operations)
  • Address potential issues occurring during the lifecycle of freight leaving the FC and reaching customer premises (Outbound Operations)
  • Provide timely resolution to issues by researching and querying internal tools and by taking real-time decisions
  • Analyze data and notice trends and drive Customer Experience without compromising on time
  • Communicate clearly in written and oral form
  • Ideate process improvements and drive them to conclusion
  • Communication with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers (Retail, Finance, Software Support, Fulfillment Centers)
  • Ability to pull data from numerous databases (using Excel, Access, SQL and/or other data management systems) and to perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed
  • Develop and/or understand performance metrics to assist with driving business results
  • Scope out business and functional requirements for the Amazon technology teams who create and enhance the software systems and tools used by TOC
  • Quickly understand the business impact of trends and make decisions based on available data
  • Systematically escalate problems or variance in information and data to the relevant owners and teams and follow through on resolutions
  • Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs, while measuring and identifying activities performed
  • Create a narrative outlining weekly findings and variances to goals, and present these findings in a review forum

Krav

  • Experience with Excel
  • Experience in written and oral communication, including the ability to communicate with all levels in the organization (technical, business, executive)

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Ability to pull data from numerous databases (using Excel, Access, SQL and/or other data management systems) and to perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed is a plus.
