IKEA Components Supply Chain is looking for a Transport Planner in Nantong, China to ensure logistical operational performance and further development. This role involves managing outbound consignments, handling extraordinary freights, and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve customer availability at the lowest total cost.

Ansvarsområden

  • Secure logistical operational performance from an end-to-end perspective.
  • Monitor and follow-up shipments to ensure availability for buyers.
  • Execute all consignments from warehouses (outbound), plan and execute consignment to meet buyers’ needs.
  • Retrieve optimal solution, price, and execute shipment for extra ordinary freights.
  • Reschedule and/or cancel parcel shipments and outbound consignments in case of logistical operational deviations.
  • Suggest improvement potentials for parameters and set-ups affecting delivery planning and execution.
  • Work in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders to solve operational deviations.
  • Follow up operational deviations and search for solutions to avoid them in the future.
  • Work in cooperation with internal and external IKEA stakeholders regarding daily operations.
  • Be active on the phone with partners and secure clarification in written form.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners.
  • Secure proactive communication with internal IKEA supply chain stakeholders and external service providers.
  • Provide clear and professional guidance in topics and questions related to the daily end-to-end goods flow.
  • Secure optimal equipment utilization in the creation of outbound consignments.
  • Contribute to the development of the delivery operations process, systems, working methods, and other steering documents.

Krav

  • Good knowledge in logistics, economics, business administration, or relevant working experience.
  • Capability of building effective and trustful relationships.
  • Good presentation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant tools and working methods in the Supply Chain.
  • Computer skills and high proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Good speaking, reading, and writing skills both in English and Mandarin.
  • Problem-solving experience as well as working within set deadlines.
  • A curiosity about the connectivity of systems, processes, and functions spanning the Transport & Services operation.
  • Analytical, numerical, and process-orientated.
  • Fact-based approach.
  • Self-reliant and motivated with a proven ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
