Alstom is looking for a full-time, on-site Train Performance Engineer in West Mifflin, PA. This role involves leading train system development and validation, ensuring conversion of customer requirements, and acting as the main technical focal point for customers on train performance topics. The position also includes managing reliability, LCC targets, cybersecurity, and contributing to certification and authorization processes.

Ansvarsområden

  • Lead train system development and validation efforts.
  • Ensure conversion of customer and regulatory requirements into train-level requirements and specifications.
  • Be accountable for Train Reliability, Train Logistic Support Analysis (LSA), LCC target achievement, Cybersecurity, and Validation and Engineering contributions to Certification & Authorization.
  • Act as the main technical focal point for the customer regarding train performance topics.
  • Collaborate with the RAM engineer to manage reliability activities and report on reliability risk management.
  • Partner with the Train Validation Engineer to ensure verification and validation activities are completed and fulfill requirements.
  • Contribute to Certification and Authorization by delivering requested deliverables (such as test reports and train-level documentation).
  • Support the Certification & Authorization manager on technical topics.
  • Drive project team success by ensuring alignment with company objectives on Cost, Quality, and Time through globally standardized practices.
  • Work closely with teams across the business, including RAM engineers, Train Validation Engineers, and ISR/LCC engineers.

Krav

  • Degree in engineering or related field.
  • Experience or understanding of vehicle systems and integration.
  • Knowledge of train system technical development and validation.
  • Proven leadership capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Adaptability to a dynamic and innovative environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Continuous learning mindset.
