IBM Global Technology Services is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Specialist to manage IBM Websphere Application Servers. This role involves installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of WebSphere, Weblogic, and JBoss environments, as well as leading migration and upgrade projects.

Ansvarsområden

  • Crafting, running, and monitoring infrastructure to support WebSphere servers.
  • Involved in IBM WebSphere Application server V7.x/8.x/9.x installation, configuration, and management.
  • Problem determination and resolution.
  • Interpreting documentation and crafting handbooks; maintaining technical documents.
  • Implementing customer requested changes.
  • Mentoring team members.
  • Driving major migration (Hardware and software) and upgrade projects.
  • Web Sphere Application Server Architecture 7.x, 8.x and 9x knowledge.
  • Application server clusters and advantages: High Availability & Workload Management.
  • Configuring Data source and JNDI.
  • Global Security implementation.
  • Troubleshooting traces for plugin work flow and session management.
  • Implementation of fixpack and upgrades.
  • SSL certificate management and working concepts.
  • Node federation.
  • Migration and upgrades to newer version of WebSphere Application Server.
  • Performance tuning.
  • Heap and thread dump analysis.
  • Web Services configuration.
  • Integration with LDAP / JMS and WebSphere MQ.
  • Log management.
  • Unix knowledge.
  • Shell Script knowledge.

Krav

  • Minimum 8-10 years of shown experience with WebSphere infrastructure.
  • Web Sphere Application Server Architecture 7.x, 8.x and 9x knowledge.
  • JVM internal architecture.
  • Application server clusters and advantages: High Availability & Workload Management.
  • Steps to configure Data source and JNDI.
  • Authentication mechanisms available for Global Security implementation.
  • Troubleshooting traces for troubleshooting Plugin work flow and session management.
  • Implementation of fixpack and upgrades.
  • SSL certificate management and working concepts.
  • Node federation.
  • Migration and upgrades to newer version of WebSphere Application Server.
  • Performance tuning.
  • Heap and thread dump analysis.
  • Web Services configuration.
  • Integration with LDAP / JMS and WebSphere MQ.
  • Log management.
  • Unix knowledge.
  • Shell Script Knowledge.
