Volvo Penta is seeking 1-2 Master's students for a thesis on creating a user-friendly technical platform for automation in recreational boating. The project involves researching use cases, designing intuitive interfaces, and evaluating solutions with boat owners.

Ansvarsområden

  • Prototype a UX/UI solution for managing automation on recreational boats.
  • Evaluate the UX/UI solution with actual boat owners.
  • Identify key use cases and design intuitive automation rule creation.
  • Explore how to enable ordinary boat owners to configure and manage automation.
  • Work with telematics platforms and onboard connectivity solutions.

Krav

  • Master's level studies in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Cognitive Science, User Experience Design, Service Design, Industrial Design, or Digital Media.
  • Skills in user research, prototyping, user testing, journey mapping, behavioral analysis, interface design, Figma, and design thinking.
  • Ability to conduct research and develop prototypes.
  • Excellent Swedish or English language skills.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Relevant programs: Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Cognitive Science, User Experience Design, Service Design, Industrial Design, Digital Media.
  • Understanding of interaction design and cognitive science principles.
