Sandvik Mining is seeking a proactive Test Engineer for a full-time, permanent role in Tampere, Finland. This position involves conducting tests on surface drill rigs, reporting findings, and participating in test preparations, including electrical and mechanical installations. The role requires relevant technical education, work experience in test engineering, and fluency in Finnish and English.

Ansvarsområden

  • Carry out different surface drill rig - Top Hammer (TH) & Down the Hole (DTH) related tests.
  • Report findings to R&D, including system functionality, performance, and durability testing.
  • Participate in test preparations, which include some electrical and mechanical installation work.
  • Take part in developing the R&D team’s work methods and improving operations by creating test plans and documenting test results.
  • Travel to customer sites during new product development customer validation phase.

Krav

  • Relevant technical education.
  • Years of work experience in test engineering or similar experience.
  • Familiarity with mechanical and electrical installations.
  • Basic knowledge of software systems.
  • Knowledge of surface drill rigs or similar machinery from a functional level.
  • Self-driven way of working with good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work proactively and systematically in a fast-changing business environment.
  • Good physical fitness.
  • Fluent in both Finnish and English.
