As a Technology Engineer specializing in Aerodynamics of Centrifugal Compressors, you will contribute to the design of next-generation compressors using CFD, FEA, and advanced modeling. This hybrid role based in Wilrijk, Belgium, involves research and development, testing, and technical support.

Ansvarsområden

  • Design next generation centrifugal compressors using CFD, FEA, numerical optimization, advanced modeling, and dedicated testing.
  • Conduct research and development for future technology and develop new centrifugal compressors.
  • Utilize CFD and FEA packages and in-house software tools to simulate, analyze, and design compressors.
  • Design test campaigns, ensure test rig readiness, follow up on testing, and process data.
  • Develop multi-disciplinary numerical models and validate them with test data.
  • Provide technical support to sales and marketing teams for special applications.
  • Work on custom designs for demanding applications.
  • Report to the team leader Centrifugal Compressors.
  • Occasional travel abroad might be required.

Krav

  • Master or PhD degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent technical field.
  • Thorough understanding of aerodynamic and thermodynamic principles.
  • Experience with simulation software such as CFD or FEA packages.
  • Basic programming skills in Python or MATLAB for data processing.
  • Full professional proficiency in English or Dutch.
