HCL Technologies Malaysia SDN BHD seeks a motivated Java Lead / SME for a full-time role in Kuala Lumpur. Responsibilities include training developers, code reviews, performance tuning, and acting as an escalation point for technical issues. Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT and 10+ years of Java experience, with expertise in Spring Boot, Hibernate, API management, and DevOps tools.

Ansvarsområden

  • Define and ensure standards (API governance, java best practices, middleware configurations) are applied.
  • Provide expertise on performance tuning for Java applications and middleware platforms including memory management and garbage collection strategies.
  • Train and mentor developers. Support code reviews when necessary.
  • Act as the top tier escalation point for complex technical issues related to API management, java or application server performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Analyze current technology trends and identify opportunities to design new technology solutions that maximize company productivity and improve business operations.
  • Support business operations by improving or performing systems configurations or developing new features of Java applications.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and practices.
  • Engage in code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing to promote team growth and learning.

Krav

  • Bachelor's or Master degree in information technology
  • 10+ years of proven experience in Java programming and software development
  • Strong expertise in Java and related frameworks: Spring / Spring batch / Hibernate / Springboot
  • Familiarity with application Servers: WebSphere and JBoss
  • Significant experience on API management platform (Knowledge of WSO2 is a plus)
  • Significant experience on security OAUTH and OpenID protocols.
  • Good abilities with DEVOPS tools: Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes and in Infra as code (Terraform, Helm…)
  • Azure Cloud knowledge is a plus.
  • Autonomy, proactivity, listening and advising are soft skills.
  • Work experience in Finance, banking or insurance industry is preferred.
  • Methodologies – Waterfall & Agile are accepted.
  • Malaysian Candidates Preferred
