As a Technical Program Manager for the AMERS datacenter portfolio, you will manage the entire lifecycle of datacenter programs, ensuring a clear view of milestones, risks, and dependencies. You will collaborate across teams to design and implement integrated solutions, drive automation, and leverage technical acumen to facilitate problem-solving, ensuring timely delivery and competitive advantage for Microsoft.
Ansvarsområden
- Identify opportunities and gaps across datacenter portfolio features, services, or infrastructure using data, automation, and AI.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to design and implement integrated solutions and processes for cross-functional programs.
- Coordinate end-to-end schedules, track dependencies, and drive adjustments for projects diverging from goals or timelines.
- Define success criteria and performance metrics for portfolio programs, ensuring required telemetry and reporting are in place.
- Develop and run portfolio rhythms of business and status reporting to provide a single, trusted view of milestones, risks, and capacity impacts.
- Partner with engineering, design, operations, and stakeholders to implement automated systems, tools, and workflows.
- Manage cross-functional initiatives focusing on efficiencies and decision-making that enable scale.
- Leverage technical acumen in mechanical/electrical systems, structures, and networking infrastructure to facilitate engineering problem solving.
- Drive business results through a focus on key performance indicators and business goals.
- Deliver on ambiguous projects with multiple stakeholders, unclear requirements, and incomplete data.
- Apply 'Best in Class' project and program management expertise to create a competitive advantage.
- Design and drive implementation of reporting by interfacing with business, engineering, finance, operations, and systems teams.
- Improve and/or deploy templates, automation, and processes using experience and expertise.
- Drive enablement for partner teams utilizing process improvements and standardization.

Krav
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, Data Analytics/Science AND 2+ years experience in engineering, planning, product/technical program management, execution, data analysis, across large-scale complex organizations within mission critical spaces or product development OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ year(s) of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects related to architecture, engineering, procurement, construction management, networking, building management/monitoring or equivalent.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements, including Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
Önskade kvalifikationer
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, Data Analytics/Science AND 8+ years experience in engineering, planning, technical program management, execution, data analysis, across large-scale complex organizations within mission critical spaces OR equivalent.
- 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects related to architecture, engineering, procurement, construction management, networking, building management/monitoring or equivalent.
- Datacenter construction or comparable complex infrastructure/construction experience and strong program facilitation.
- Subject matter expertise on key functional areas of engineering, procurement, construction, mechanical, electrical, networking, and building automation systems.
- Expertise working with large-scale data sets and analytics tools (e.g. PowerBI, PowerApps) to derive insights and make process improvements.
- Comfortable working at the Executive level within a highly matrixed organization.
- Experience driving execution with hyper-scale cloud engineering groups.
- Technical program management experience managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, people, risk, and communications.
- Leadership skills and experience working with large, diverse teams.
- Understanding of business and financial objectives and plans accordingly.
- Technical excellence in learning and applying successful strategies and implementing improvements to engineering methods and quality practices across the data center delivery portfolio.
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
- Experience managing large scale construction or network infrastructure projects.
- Understanding of contract language.
- Excellent facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex, fast-moving data into clear, decision-ready insights for stakeholders.
