I korthet

As a Technical Lead in Noida, India, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining the canonical order data model on AlloyDB (PostgreSQL), ensuring scalability and adherence to best practices. This role requires strong SQL performance tuning and indexing skills, with experience in large-scale transactional systems and Agile methodologies.

Ansvarsområden

  • Design and maintain the canonical, extendable order data model on AlloyDB (PostgreSQL) shared across every business line.
  • Apply normalization and schema-design best practices to support decoupled, independently scalable services.
  • Tune SQL performance and indexing strategy for high-volume order, shipment, and purchase-order tables.
  • Partner with the Technical Architect and Java Technical Leads on data-access patterns and connection-pool limits.
  • Validate the data model against Staples' Enterprise Architecture team and version data contracts for downstream consumers.
  • Support Redis caching strategy for high-read OMS journeys.

Krav

  • AlloyDB (PostgreSQL)
  • Canonical/extendable order data model design
  • Normalization & schema design
  • SQL performance tuning & indexing
  • 8+ years in data modeling/database design, including large-scale transactional systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • Comfortable working in a squad-based Agile delivery model with onsite/offshore collaboration

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Any RDBMS experience (Oracle/MySQL/SQL Server) — upgradeable to AlloyDB (PostgreSQL-compatible)
  • NoSQL experience (MongoDB) — potential upgrade to Couchbase (usage unconfirmed)
  • GCP data services (Cloud SQL/BigQuery) if new to GCP
  • Basic AI agent/skill usage in data modeling
