AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Tech Infrastructure Program Manager in Mumbai, India, to lead cross-functional teams in the planning and delivery of AWS data center capacity. This role requires strong program management skills, financial expertise, and technical understanding of infrastructure. The ideal candidate will manage multiple projects, partner with senior stakeholders, and ensure on-time, cost-effective delivery of new data centers.

Ansvarsområden

  • Owns delivery of new Data Centers across one or more availability zones in India.
  • Manages 10+ projects at any given time.
  • Bridges internal customers, business functions (Planning, Finance, Procurement, Legal, Policy, Operations), and functional delivery teams (Construction, Commissioning, Controls, Fiber and Network) to enable on-time and right-sized delivery of new DC capacity.
  • Scope begins with early expansion planning, including feasibility analysis to approve expansion plans and associated build timelines.
  • Evaluates multiple factors prior to approving a new plan of record, including owned/leased/collocated DC supply, utility delivery (power, water, and fiber), and long lead equipment (LLE) availability.
  • Requires region-wide knowledge and monitoring of in-flight projects, major risks, and remediation efforts.
  • Ensures DC delivery is on track to meet supply commitments and customer demand.
  • Manages a combination of metrics, tools, and mechanisms to remain aware of ongoing risks or issues.
  • Takes action, makes decisions, implements mitigations, or identifies alternative solutions.
  • Communicates up, down, and across the organization to align direction, gain support, and drive remediation efforts.

Krav

  • 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience
  • Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to infrastructure (i.e. network, data center, hardware, software)
  • Experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds
  • Complex cross-functional program management experience
  • Financial expertise
  • Legal/regulatory comprehension
  • Technical understanding
  • Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Relevant experience in managing technical and strategic programs
  • Background in program and project management, architecture/design, mechanical/electrical engineering, software/hardware engineering with strong urge to learn will be essential if no data center deployment experience.
