Amazon is looking for an experienced Team Manager to lead a team of 20-25 ML Data Associates in Hyderabad, India. The role involves executing ML data workflows, ensuring quality compliance, analyzing data, identifying risks, and driving process improvements while coaching and managing direct reports.

Ansvarsområden

  • Manages team size of 20 to 25 ML Data Associates.
  • Executes plans for team to perform tasks related to multiple ML workflows in a well-defined process area.
  • Ensures ML data workflows are quality compliant, analyzes ML data, SIM issues, and metrics.
  • Identifies risks and ensures escalations reach the right people, adhering to confidentiality and compliance requirements.
  • Responsible for known SLAs and task completion targets for specific customers.
  • Works with internal/external teams to execute business goals.
  • Uses data to set/revisit operational goals and manage activities.
  • Manages escalation/complex tickets; analyzes data; highlights trends, gaps, etc.; and reports key metrics.
  • Presents data in business meetings/reviews.
  • Designs and implements process improvement projects impacting team level performance.
  • Participates in new workflow roll out projects.
  • Coaches direct reports on demonstrating leadership principles.
  • Assigns appropriate challenging work to employees for development.
  • Provides team guidance on work types and prioritization.
  • Devises and implements performance improvement plans for associates.
  • Provides regular coaching and feedback to direct reports on quality, performance, behavior, and career development.
  • Manages team performance based on metrics & deliverables and makes hiring/firing decisions.
  • Holds team members accountable for performance based on metrics and adherence to rules and guidelines.
  • Leads annotation effort in India and partners closely with the Operations Manager.
  • Becomes an expert in annotation processes, trains and supports the team, maintains accuracy and throughput standards.
  • Connects with stakeholders to understand key annotation requirements and trains associates.
  • Conducts close-loop sessions with research team members to understand ML model KPIs and proposes scalable solutions.

Krav

  • BE, BSC candidates, B tech - Mtech, Msc , IT, ECE, ELECTRICAL ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING
  • Industry experience of 5 to 7 years with at least 1 to 2 years in team lead/people management role.
  • A graduate in any field of study. Quantitative fields such as science and engineering preferred but not mandatory.
  • Good familiarity with the Windows desktop environment and use of Word, Excel, IE, Firefox etc. are required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
