Alfa Laval is seeking a Team Leader for their Orleans Inventory Control team in Richmond, VA. This full-time, on-site role involves coordinating daily material handling operations, training team members, and resolving inventory discrepancies to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are met.

Ansvarsområden

  • Lead a team of material handlers to ensure accurate and timely parts picking.
  • Collaborate with warehouse/logistics teams to resolve issues.
  • Train team members on ERP system competency.
  • Review, plan, coordinate, and support daily departmental work with a focus on ALPS priorities (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost).
  • Drive daily ALPS Performance Meetings and weekly Improvement Meetings.
  • Run daily shift startup/handover meetings.
  • Participate in projects and improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in the Problem Resolution Process to determine root causes and create solutions.
  • Provide departmental training.
  • Write and audit SOPs and drive process improvements.
  • Own material handling activities in coordination with the production team.
  • Collaborate with the inventory team to resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Serve as liaison between the department, support functions, and Team Manager.
  • Multi-task, self-manage, and prioritize to meet deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Krav

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2 - 4 years previous warehouse logistics experience.
  • 2 - 4 years previous material handling equipment experience.
  • Experience with handheld barcode scanners (Zebra preferred).
  • Experience working with Bill of Materials, pick lists, and other manufacturing documents.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (Microsoft D365 preferred).
  • Attention to detail.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Certified Equipment operation (Forklift, Order Picker).
  • Ability to lift 45 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to stand for majority of the work day.
  • Some hazardous material handling required.
