Emerson is seeking a Tactical Purchasing Specialist in Pune, India. This on-site role involves managing purchase orders, collaborating with suppliers for confirmations, updating ERP systems, and analyzing supply/demand to replenish stock. The ideal candidate has 5-10 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain and proficiency with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle, along with strong analytical and data analysis skills.

Ansvarsområden

  • Extract Open PO Report and convert PR to PO.
  • Collaborate with suppliers for PO acknowledgement and confirmations.
  • Update ERP with confirmation dates and implement exception messages (Expedite, Defer) in SAP, Oracle, or plant ERP.
  • Communicate with the plant on specific queries related to POs and validate supplier lead times.
  • Check supply/demand and decide items for release to replenish stock.
  • Liaise with Suppliers for deliveries, maintain promise dates and order confirmations.
  • Collaborate with Global Stakeholders including Category Managers, Production & Inventory Control Manager, and Value Stream Managers for Material Availability.
  • Lead Supplier Relationship Management process in collaboration with SPE and Category leaders.
  • Collaborate with finance for Supplier On-Time payment.
  • Complete Material Master Set up and associated activities.
  • Perform Requisition to PO Conversion for MRO Items.
  • Coordinate Material Master Data Audits in the ERP.
  • Communicate with Plant/Site Buyers on actions and resolutions.
  • Support Team to prepare monthly/quarterly/annual management reports for Customer and Suppliers.
  • Raise supplier delivery issues to PIC Manager and Planning team.
  • Stay up to date on Parked/blocked invoice report and resolve discrepancies.
  • Negotiate with vendors for best cost and delivery requirements while supporting inventory turns.

Krav

  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of professional experience in Purchasing / Procurement / Supply Chain or Casting, Forging, Machining.
  • Knowledge in Strategic sourcing methodology, supply chain management, contracting, procurement, and supplier management skill.
  • Experience working with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
  • Excellent digital literacy and technical proficiency including significant data gathering skills, expertise, interpretation, and reporting for the Supply Chain organization.
  • Strong problem solving & analytical skills with expertise in data analysis and management (Advanced Excel, Tableau, Power BI, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access, PowerPoint, SQL).
  • Self-motivated.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Management or any related field.
  • Experience in Project Management and Project Management certification are an added advantage.
  • Ability to work 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM, 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 4:30 PM to 1:30 AM.
