Qualcomm is seeking an experienced Chipset Power System Engineer to optimize power for Snapdragon chipsets. This role involves leading cross-functional teams to model and optimize hardware and software for world-class low power consumption throughout the design cycle. The engineer will also interact with customers to understand and address their power requirements.

Ansvarsområden

  • Lead a cross-functional engineering team to model SOC/chipset power and develop innovative solutions.
  • Optimize hardware and software to enhance SOC and chipset low power consumption.
  • Be involved in all stages of the design and development cycles, guiding power-efficient design.
  • Perform power architecture and tradeoff analysis.
  • Conduct chipset and system-level power modeling, analysis, and optimization.
  • Identify power requirements and quantify power gap/risk areas.
  • Optimize power efficiency and performance of current designs and architect future products.
  • Guide multi-function groups through the design cycle to meet power targets.
  • Design power features and collaborate with cross-functional teams (systems, software, hardware, silicon process, production test, etc.).
  • Interact with customers to showcase chipset capabilities and understand power needs.
  • Perform power modeling of customer-specific use cases and designs.

Krav

  • A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field.
  • 15 years of professional experience in low power features at SOC, chipset or platform level analysis and design.
  • Architectural knowledge in application processor, modem processor, AR/VR, machine learning, IOT, automotive or computing.
  • Experience in hardware or software design or optimizations of low power features.
  • Experience in system-level power modeling and analysis.
