Qualcomm is seeking a motivated System Integration & Test Engineer for their Wireless R&D team in San Diego to build cutting-edge prototype systems for wireless technologies like 6G and 5G NR, incorporating AI/ML techniques. The role involves defining test objectives, executing tests, troubleshooting, and analyzing results in close collaboration with various engineering teams.

Ansvarsområden

  • Build cutting-edge end-to-end prototype systems for wireless technologies such as 6G, 5G NR Sub6 & mmW.
  • Apply AI/ML techniques to prototype systems focused on proof of concept and key feature development in 6G.
  • Contribute to key research and development topics in mobile wireless.
  • Interact closely with systems engineers, software/hardware developers, and RF engineers to test and evaluate end-to-end prototypes.
  • Define test objectives, write test plans, execute tests, troubleshoot, and perform detailed post-processing analysis.
  • Perform Over the Air (OTA) testing.

Krav

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Knowledge of 5G NR PHY, MAC, RLC, PDCP, RRC protocols.
  • Knowledge of OFDMA, Wi-Fi and LTE.
  • Good understanding of Digital and Wireless communication systems.
  • Experience with test equipment such as Channel emulators, Spectrum analyzers and Signal generators.
  • Programming skills in Python/MATLAB.
  • Strong interest in new technologies and willingness to learn.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well with others in a technical environment.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Knowledge of AI/ML concepts (Deep learning, LLM transformer architecture) is a plus.
