In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Respond to field complaints and production issues related to existing products.
- Conduct root cause analysis of quality and performance issues.
- Define process or design improvements to address product concerns.
- Coordinate and/or perform testing to validate the effectiveness of improvements.
- Participate in value improvement initiatives and support sourcing strategies to ensure supply continuity.
- Review and approve or decline deviation requests from production.
- Evaluate and approve or decline PPAP submissions for new parts or suppliers.
- Ensure accurate implementation and documentation of engineering changes in PLM and ERP systems.
- Support sustainability initiatives aligned with Emerson goals.
- Provide engineering support for products requiring regulatory or agency approvals.
- Assist with substance compliance projects through technical expertise.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to solve problems and manage a variety of variables in situations with limited standardization.
- Analyzes, develops, and recommends design approaches to meet requirements for new or improved products.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Familiarity with 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidEdge, SolidWorks).
- Experience with manufacturing processes such as machining, casting, forging, and forming.
- Knowledge of metallurgical fundamentals, including heat treatment and material properties.
- Familiarity with a stage-gate New Product Development process.
- Awareness of regulatory standards for tools (e.g., IEC 62841).
