As a Supply Chain Engineering Specialist in Bangalore, you will design and optimize end-to-end logistics processes, focusing on warehouse layout, capacity analysis, and lean flow mapping. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enhance efficiency and sustainability in the rail industry.

Ansvarsområden

  • Perform warehouse capacity analysis, storage definition, and logistics flow mapping for inbound, storage, picking, and loading.
  • Design unloading/loading plans, including docks, MHEs, forklift paths, and staging areas.
  • Plan and implement storage systems like HD racks, ASRS, and mezzanines.
  • Define picking zones, bin planning, and MHE-based picking strategies.
  • Prepare and maintain SOPs for operational activities (PFEP, lifting plans, kitting, inventory management).
  • Develop line-feeding flow concepts, mirror-zone calculations, and design line-feeding trolleys.
  • Create and implement safety measures, visual labels, and PPE storage plans adhering to EHS standards.
  • Provide training for operators and warehouse teams.
  • Drive cost-reduction, process-improvement, and optimization initiatives.

Krav

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience or understanding of warehouse layout design, logistics flow mapping, and lean workflows.
  • Knowledge of storage systems such as HD racks, ASRS, and mezzanines.
  • Familiarity with supply chain processes, including line feeding and production support.
  • A certification in Lean Six Sigma or a similar methodology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
