Subject Matter Expert (Support&Ops)

Job Summary

0+ Years of experience in Supporting Mission Critical Linux Production Servers.\\\\r\\\\n• Strong understanding of Linux Operating systems and command-line administration.\\\\r\\\\n• Mastery in Redhat Linux (RHEL6/7/8/9) OS & LVM OS upgrade and Support and Troubleshooting.\\\\r\\\\n• Expertise in installing, configuring, and managing VCS clusters, including resource management, failover mechanisms, and performance tuning.\\\\r\\\\n• Familiarity with VxVM, VxFS for Storage virtualization and high availability, potentially including knowledge of RAID configurations and storage management.\\\\r\\\\n• Understanding of HA concepts, including failover, replication, and disaster recovery strategies within a clustered environment.\\\\r\\\\n• Ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to Linux systems, VCS, and related technologies. This may involve analyzing logs, debugging scripts, and collaborating with other teams.\\\\r\\\\n• Supporting high availability, fail-over, fallback using Veritas Cluster Server. Freezing, switching service groups in VCS Cluster.\\\\r\\\\n• Experience with automation tools like Puppet, Ansible, or other scripting languages (shell, Python or Bash) to streamline cluster operations and reduce manual tasks.\\\\r\\\\n• Knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and firewalls, as they relate to cluster connectivity.\\\\r\\\\n• Experience with monitoring tools to track cluster health, performance, and resource utilization.\\\\r\\\\n• Participating in the BCI, P1, P2 incidents and experience on RCA Preparation / Risk Documentation.\\\\r\\\\n• Performance and Problem management on Unix Issues.\\\\r\\\\n• Ability to create and maintain clear and concise documentation for the Linux and VCS infrastructure.\\\\r\\\\n• Experience with disaster recovery planning and testing in a clustered environment.\\\\r\\\\n• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and updates in Linux and Veritas Cluster Services and make recommendations for improvements.\\\\r\\\\n• Experience on Supporting Oracle RAC cluster nodes.\\\\r\\\\n• Experience on any one of ticketing tools – Service Now/Remedy/ ITSM\\\\r\\\\n• Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware, OpenShift, etc.\\\\r\\\\n• Knowledge of Security best practices and compliance standards.\\\\r\\\\n• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written\\\\r\\\\n• Redhat Certification and Veritas Cluster certification will be an advantage.\\\\r\\\\n• Must be a team player and should be able to mentor/build skills of subordinates.\\\\r\\\\n
