Microsoft Cloud Operations and Innovation is looking for a Strategic LLE Category Manager to lead sourcing strategies and negotiations for complex datacenter infrastructure projects. This role involves extensive experience in procurement, supplier management, and commercial understanding within industries like Data Center or Oil & Gas, managing large capital projects and equipment suppliers.
Ansvarsområden
- Maintain and execute sourcing strategies for complex projects and purchasing opportunities.
- Integrate business specifications into RFI/RFP processes.
- Lead contract negotiations for multiple purchasing categories.
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies and educate stakeholders on compliance.
- Collaborate with senior Procurement stakeholders on SLAs and milestones.
- Manage supplier activity and progress, developing supplier account plans.
- Leverage data to anticipate and mitigate risk.
- Drive early business engagements for highly complex business areas.
- Lead decision making around workstream processes and influence leadership to drive change.
Krav
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Management, Supply Chain or related field.
- 10+ years’ experience in Project Management, Supply Chain and Operations.
- Strong commercial understanding of Product & Capital Equipment procurement.
- Extensive experience in sourcing, procurement, and supplier management.
- Experience in Data Center / Infrastructure / Power / Oil & Gas industry managing large capital projects with Contractors & Equipment supplier management.
- Experience in Supply Chain Management, Commercial Negotiations/Contracting and external Supplier/contractor Management across multiple projects.
- Experience with Equipment manufacturing processes and assembly, Technology transfer and proven projects execution.
- Knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Long Lead Equipment.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
