Synopsys is seeking a Staff Application Engineer – Physical Implementation in Bengaluru to solve complex PPA challenges using advanced implementation technologies. This role involves developing, debugging, and optimizing synthesis flows, providing technical solutions to customers, and collaborating with R&D to drive tool enhancements.

Ansvarsområden

  • Solve complex PPA (Performance, Power, Area) challenges using Synopsys’ latest implementation technologies, including AI/ML Implementation, Physical Synthesis RTL-GDS.
  • Solve complex Formal verification challenges, early power estimation using latest technologies.
  • Benchmark Synopsys solutions against competitors to displace alternative implementation flows and demonstrate superior results.
  • Develop, debug, and optimize Synthesis implementation methodologies and flows for emerging semiconductor technologies.
  • Provide technical solutions by identifying design and EDA tool issues and delivering actionable resolutions for customers.
  • Translate technical findings into requirements for R&D, driving tool enhancements and adaptive long-term solutions.
  • Deploy new technology features in the latest EDA tool versions and enable customer migration for best-in-class PPA.
  • Proactively identify customer pain points and propose innovative solutions to address them.
  • Collaborate closely with Synopsys R&D and product development teams to shape future technology directions.
  • Act as a customer advocate during internal discussions and as a brand ambassador when engaging externally.

Krav

  • At least 5+ years of experience in Synthesis, with proven ability to debug and resolve synthesis challenges, including low power understanding.
  • Strong exposure to methodology changes aimed at achieving targeted PPA metrics for complex designs.
  • Proficiency in synthesis and formal verification tools and flows is highly advantageous.
  • Advanced scripting skills (TCL, Unix, Perl) for automation and debugging.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to interface effectively with customers and internal teams.
