As a Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer in APAC, you will be responsible for designing and implementing enterprise data center mechanical systems, ensuring quality and performance. This role involves collaboration with various teams, site selection, and driving innovation to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.

Ansvarsområden

  • Drive Mechanical Engineering services design, construction, and implementation of enterprise data centers.
  • Serve as the Mechanical Engineering representative for the Data Center Engineering Team.
  • Assist in Data Center site selection, planning, and development.
  • Maintain highest performance standards and utilize innovation to reduce PUE, water consumption, CAPEX and increase efficiency.
  • Evaluate different cooling systems and make data-driven decisions.
  • Participate in site selection reviews and understand site utility requirements.
  • Design and collaborate with other disciplines to create construction documents.
  • Create designs that meet or exceed quality and budgetary requirements.
  • Specify mechanical equipment including Air Handling Units, Computer Room Air Handling Units, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Sequence of Operations & Controls systems, Fire Detection/Suppression systems.
  • Review and approve equipment submittals.
  • Define project scope and provide technical support.
  • Work with commissioning teams to test and validate mechanical systems.
  • Travel to sites for review and work with field engineers and Operations (20% travel within APAC and occasionally globally).

Krav

  • 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities (data centers, power generation, oil and gas).
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Professional Engineering or Architectural License.
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region.
  • Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production.
  • Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.
