Qualcomm is seeking a Sr Engineer, Machine Learning Engineering to work on cutting-edge Gen AI technology for the Edge. This role involves architecting, designing, developing, testing, and deploying on-device prototype software, with a focus on modern software engineering best practices and enabling on-device AI.

Ansvarsområden

  • Architect, design, develop, test, and deploy on-device prototype software for cutting-edge AI use cases.
  • Work in a dynamic research environment with a multi-disciplinary team of researchers and software engineers.
  • Utilize cutting-edge AI frameworks and tools.

Krav

  • Expert-level proficiency in C++ and Python with a strong foundation in software design, development, and optimization.
  • Knowledge of deep learning and ML frameworks (i.e. PyTorch).
  • Strong software design skills with a focus on usability.
  • Hands-on experience in low-level system debugging, performance tuning, memory analysis, and native inference driver development/debugging.
  • Experience in Embedded Software development.
  • At least 3 years of work experience in a relevant field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 2+ years of relevant work experience.
  • OR Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 1+ year of relevant work experience.
  • OR PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Experience with Android development, including Java, JNI, NDK, and native framework integration.
  • Knowledge of Generative AI (GenAI) technologies.
  • Knowledge of neural network model optimization and on-target deployment is a plus.
  • Previous experience with Docker, Git and CI/CD.
  • Knowledge of NPUs / ML accelerators.
  • Knowledge of modern Generative AI architectures, including LLMs, VLMs, inference pipelines, and model deployment, is a strong plus.
