AWS seeks an experienced Sr. Electrical Design Engineer to lead Data Center electrical designs across the APAC region. This role involves collaborating with internal and external teams, ensuring compliance with codes, and managing projects from concept to commissioning, with an expectation of 25% travel. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, 6+ years of relevant experience, and a strong understanding of critical data center electrical equipment.

Ansvarsområden

  • Lead Data center electrical designs in collaboration with other disciplines to create a coordinated construction document set.
  • Participate in site selection reviews and work with local utilities to understand and define site utility requirements.
  • Design critical Data Center equipment including site-wide MV infrastructure, Generators, Uninterruptible Power Supplies, Switchgear, Transformers and Earthing.
  • Create designs which meet or exceed quality requirements and fall within budgetary requirements.
  • Work with regional vendors and manufacturers to specify the appropriate electrical equipment.
  • Work with local agencies having jurisdiction to ensure compliance with IEC requirements, the various APAC wide design codes and other jurisdictional requirements.
  • Review and approve equipment submittals and ability to work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical regions.
  • Define project scope and provide technical support for information requests prior to, and during construction phases.
  • Work with commissioning teams to properly test and validate installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems.
  • Travel to sites for site review and work with onsite field engineers, as well as provide engineering evaluations, electrical systems audits, and startup as needed.

Krav

  • 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience.
  • 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Experience in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Professional Engineering or Architectural License.
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region.
  • Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production.
  • Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.
  • Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities.
  • Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.
