I korthet

We are looking for a Cloud Database & Backup Engineer with expertise in SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Rubrik to manage and secure enterprise database platforms across cloud and hybrid environments. The role involves ensuring robust backup, recovery, and disaster recovery capabilities, alongside performance tuning and automation.

Ansvarsområden

  • Administer, monitor, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL database environments.
  • Perform database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Ensure database availability, reliability, performance, and security.
  • Support HA/DR solutions including Always On Availability Groups, replication, and clustering.
  • Analyze and resolve database performance issues and optimize queries, indexes, and stored procedures.
  • Manage enterprise backup and recovery operations using Rubrik, configuring policies and performing validation/testing.
  • Support databases hosted in AWS, Azure, and hybrid environments.
  • Implement database security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and auditing.
  • Configure and maintain monitoring tools and develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or SQL.
  • Participate in incident troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and change management activities.

Krav

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 4-8+ years of experience in Database Administration and Backup Management.
  • Strong experience administering Microsoft SQL Server environments.
  • Strong experience with PostgreSQL database administration.
  • Hands-on experience with Rubrik Backup & Recovery platform.
  • Experience supporting cloud environments such as Azure and/or AWS.
  • Strong understanding of backup, restore, replication, high availability, and disaster recovery concepts.
  • Experience with database monitoring and performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Shell scripting).
  • Familiarity with ITIL-based operational processes.
