Google Cloud is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to build and lead a high-performance computing organization in India. This role requires technical and leadership expertise to manage engineers, guide projects, develop strategy, and enable cutting-edge VM families for Compute/AI/ML/HPC workloads.

Ansvarsområden

Scale the team to develop the world's most performant and reliable compute and AI infra.
Provide long-term vision to build VM performance to provide high computing VM families.
Own end to end responsibility of enabling the technology to deliver these cutting edge VM families, ensuring their availability, reliability, and performance.
Grow the team to expand new capabilities that extend beyond the immediate project.
Set and communicate team priorities that support the broader organization's goals.
Align strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams.
Evolve the technical roadmap to meet anticipated future requirements and infrastructure needs.
Design, guide and vet systems designs within the scope of the broader area to solve ambiguous problems.
Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).

Krav

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
3 years of experience in technical leadership role; overseeing projects.
3 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

Önskade kvalifikationer

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
Experience in Kernel programming, Kernel drivers, virtual machines, virtualization, software architecture, storage.
