Microsoft is seeking Software Engineering Interns to work on AI and ML projects. You will collaborate with teams to solve complex problems, leverage AI technologies, and apply responsible AI practices. This internship offers a chance to gain experience in designing, developing, and testing next-generation software.

Ansvarsområden

  • Apply engineering principles and AI techniques to solve complex problems.
  • Determine user requirements with stakeholders.
  • Understand and apply Microsoft's responsible AI practices.
  • Quickly learn new engineering methods, AI, and machine learning techniques.
  • Seek feedback and apply best practices to improve technical solutions.
  • Demonstrate skill in time management and completing projects in a cooperative team environment.
  • Review current developments and seek new knowledge to improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance.

Krav

  • Enrolled in a full-time bachelor's or master’s program in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field during the academic term immediately before the internship.
  • Must have at least 1 semester/term remaining following the completion of the internship.
  • One year of programming experience in an object-oriented language.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms and AI/machine learning concepts.
  • Experience with AI/ML projects, such as developing machine learning models, working with large datasets, or implementing AI solutions in real-world applications.
  • Familiarity with AI frameworks and libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
  • Experience in using AI tools to generate projects, such as GitHub Copilot, Claude code, Microsoft Roo Code or similar, with an understanding of their strengths and limitations.

Förmåner

  • Base pay range of USD $5610.00 - $11010.00 per month (or $7270.00 - $12030.00 in SF Bay/NYC areas).
