#Software Engineer - WLAN

I korthet

As a Software Engineer on the WLAN HAL-PHY firmware team, you will be responsible for the full firmware development lifecycle for next-generation WLAN chipsets. This role emphasizes deep technical expertise, architectural ownership, and collaboration, with a strong focus on utilizing and evolving AI-assisted development workflows, including generative AI tools for code creation and analysis.

Ansvarsområden

  • Lead software architecture enhancements and design new firmware modules.
  • Write, review, and own production-quality low-level firmware for embedded environments (DSP/ARM processors).
  • Develop WLAN offload firmware on dedicated co-processor cores.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex WLAN and RF system performance issues.
  • Design, implement, unit test, and document features for next-generation WLAN platforms (802.11be and beyond).
  • Partner with chip designers, hardware board engineers, and RF specialists during silicon bring-up and validation.
  • Optimize firmware for maximum throughput and minimal latency.
  • Support customer launch and resolve production field issues; occasional travel may be required.
  • Use AI coding assistants (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) for firmware development and iteration.
  • Leverage MCP server toolchains for code navigation, HW register lookup, and crash dump analysis.
  • Participate in and refine the team's AI-assisted SDLC pipeline, providing feedback on AI-generated artifacts.
  • Drive technical documentation standards and code review culture.

Krav

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Hands-on technical depth writing production-quality C/C++ firmware.
  • Ability to drive design decisions independently and document trade-offs.
  • Collaboration skills with chip designers, RF engineers, and hardware board engineers.
  • Experience taking complex debug problems from triage to verified fix.
  • Comfortable using AI coding assistants (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) daily.
  • Experience with AI-assisted development workflows.
  • Familiarity with MCP server toolchains (cscope MCP, swi-hw-sw MCP, SmartScope, TimeTravel).
  • Experience with LLMCommittee automated code review.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted SDLC pipelines (req-analysis, sw-sdd, code-gen).
  • Experience with LLM-based crash triage and regression RCA (FACT-RCA).
  • Proficiency in C/C++ for resource-constrained embedded environments.
  • Experience with Git, Perforce, or other Source Code Management Systems.
  • 2+ years of experience with Database Management Software.
  • 2+ years of experience with API.

  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.
