Swedbank is seeking a Software Engineer with strong Java skills to join their e-commerce payments team in Vilnius. You will develop and modernize critical payment services, focusing on scalability, quality, and performance, while collaborating with experienced colleagues in a hybrid work model.
Ansvarsområden
- Build and maintain scalable payment services
- Analyse complex technical and business problems and turn them into clear, maintainable solutions
- Ensure quality, performance, and stability of mission-critical systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful features
- Contribute to system architecture and clean, future-proof solutions
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and drive continuous improvements
- Share knowledge, challenge ideas constructively, and contribute to improving how we work
Krav
- Strong Java development experience, preferably with modern Java versions and Spring Boot
- A strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, you enjoy understanding complex situations, finding root causes, and connecting the dots
- Experience with Clean Code and Clean Architecture principles
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs
- Ability to understand not only how to implement something, but also why it should be implemented that way
- Familiarity with Oracle DB, MS SQL Server and/or QA practices is a strong plus
- Understanding and experience with CI/CD practices and tools, such as GitHub Actions
- Experience with containerization and orchestration platforms, such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Understanding of monitoring and observability concepts, including logs, metrics, and traces
- Fluent in English and comfortable working in an international team
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience
