Amazon Fulfilment Technologies (AFT) is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead a team developing and maintaining scalable web services for External Fulfillment customers and vendors. This role involves defining tech strategy, ensuring high-quality execution, building a high-performance team, and owning operational metrics.

Ansvarsområden

Define product Tech strategy and roadmap with senior leaders in EF.
Lead high-quality execution of software products against project plans and delivery commitments.
Architect and develop the best technical designs for extensibility, reliability, and scalability.
Build and develop a high performance software development organization by hiring, mentoring and growing a best-in-class team.
Own all operational metrics and support.
Work directly with development teams in Bellevue, Toronto, Bangalore, and across the globe on shared projects and dependent deliverables.

Krav

Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations.
Experience in engineering team management.
Experience in engineering.
Experience in leading the definition and development of multi tier web services.
Experience partnering with product and program management teams.

Önskade kvalifikationer

Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy.
Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers.
