As a Software Development Engineer II, you will build and enhance distributed systems with a focus on availability, latency, and consistency. You will also be involved in reliability engineering, automation, and mentoring junior team members to drive innovation and operational excellence within Amazon Digital Acceleration.

Ansvarsområden

Lead projects involving multiple teams in all aspects of the SDLC using an agile process.
Design and implement innovative automation solutions to streamline manual tasks and eliminate inefficiencies.
Design robust frameworks to fortify system resilience and keep critical infrastructure stable, performant, and scalable.
Mentor junior team members, share best practices, and lead the adoption of emerging technologies.
Conceptualize, design, and implement scalable and reusable technical solutions for business problems.

Krav

3+ years of professional software development experience (non-internship).
2+ years of experience in design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Strong background in Algorithms, Data Structures, Java, and NoSQL.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely (both written and orally) and work well in a team.
Ability to quickly adapt to new development environments, learn new systems, create reliable and maintainable code, and find creative and scalable solutions to difficult problems.

Önskade kvalifikationer

3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Experience working with high-traffic, scalable services is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
