I korthet

As a Software Development Engineer II on the Alexa Endpoint Experiences team, you will innovate on speech-backed visuals for Echo Show, Echo Spot, and other screened Alexa devices. You will develop and maintain new systems, ensuring low-latency, high-scale services, and potentially working on device frameworks, web services, and APIs. Collaboration with UX and Product owners is key to delivering delightful Android-based experiences.

Ansvarsområden

  • Develop and maintain new systems for Alexa devices.
  • Partner with other Amazon and third-party services and device teams.
  • Deliver services that respond with minimal latency at Amazon scale.
  • Work on device frameworks, web services, APIs, and large scale data infrastructure.
  • Invent novel delightful Android-based experiences for customers.
  • Collaborate with UX and Product owners to define customer experience and product direction.
  • Deliver high quality software through working in a dynamic, team-focused Agile/Scrum environment.

Krav

  • 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 4+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • 4+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Enthusiasm to build cutting edge software particularly around user interfaces, cross-device APIs, or cloud-based services.
