Software Development Engineer II at Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) will build AI-native systems to eliminate reactive operational tasks. The role involves developing LLM-powered remediation agents, self-healing deployment platforms, and a knowledge foundation for AI reasoning. Requires 3+ years of professional software development experience and proficiency in modern programming languages.

Ansvarsområden

  • Invent AI-native tooling to eliminate reactive work and operational toil.
  • Ship LLM-powered remediation agents, autonomous workflows, and a knowledge foundation for AI-assisted development.
  • Develop agentic remediation systems for automatic detection, diagnosis, and resolution of operational issues.
  • Build self-healing deployment platforms with safe primitives, automated integration testing, and pipeline intelligence.
  • Create the FBA knowledge foundation with OE infrastructure and knowledge-graph tooling for AI reasoning.

Krav

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language (Java, C++, Python, etc.).
  • Experience contributing to the architecture and design (design patterns, reliability, scaling) of new and current systems.
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle — coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Experience building automation, platform, or developer-productivity systems (CI/CD, observability, agentic/AI-assisted tooling).
  • Hands-on interest in applying LLMs and AI-native approaches to real engineering problems.
  • Familiarity with continuous delivery and autonomous deployment practices.
  • Bias for measurable impact and comfort inventing in an ambiguous, high-ownership charter.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
