Amazon Fulfillment Technology (AFT) is seeking a Software Development Engineer to design and develop large-scale, reliable, and fault-tolerant distributed systems that optimize customer order fulfillment. This role involves hands-on coding, system design, and collaboration with multiple teams to impact company performance significantly.

Ansvarsområden

  • Design and develop large-scale, multi-tiered software applications and tools.
  • Engage with multiple teams to deliver software and automated solutions for Amazon fulfillment centers worldwide.
  • Create and deliver software and automated solutions to enable products used in Amazon fulfillment centers globally.
  • Influence subsystem design and help build a team culture focused on quality product practices.
  • Own problems and passionately drive successful implementation.
  • Learn and adopt the latest computer science technologies.

Krav

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Sound understanding of Computer Science such as Algorithms, Data Structures, Object Oriented Design, Databases.
  • Ability to write Amazon quality code in an object oriented language - preferably in C/C++/Java.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced development environment.
  • Go-getter attitude, ready to own a problem and passionately drive successful implementation.
  • Quick learner, ready to learn and adopt latest computer science technologies.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
