The Alexa Connections team is seeking a Software Development Engineer to design and deliver software systems for a privacy-first, context-aware assistant. You will work across the full software development lifecycle, building scalable backend systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams to make communication effortless and trustworthy.

Ansvarsområden

Design and implement software services that model customer's personal connections graph.
Build and operate scalable backend systems integrating large language models and agentic reasoning.
Collaborate with scientists, product managers, and peer engineering teams to translate research into features.
Contribute to the full software development lifecycle including scoping, design, code review, testing, deployment, and operational support.
Identify and resolve root causes of operational issues, and continuously improve system reliability, maintainability, and performance.

Krav

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Önskade kvalifikationer

3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
