Alstom is seeking a full-time Software Architect in Bangalore to lead the design and development of embedded software systems for the rail mobility industry. This role involves defining software requirements, designing architecture, making key technical decisions, and overseeing integration and validation processes.

Ansvarsområden

  • Contribute to product/system specification and architecture in collaboration with product architects and owners.
  • Define software requirements, including functional, operational, interface, and performance constraints.
  • Design software architecture, breaking down components, and allocating requirements.
  • Make key technical decisions, such as selecting tools, methodologies, and microprocessor platforms.
  • Lead software and hardware integration, as well as prepare and perform tests.
  • Drive innovation by creating reusable codes, reference libraries, and model-based developments.

Krav

  • Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Engineering – IT, CS, ECE, EEE, or equivalent.
  • 15+ years of experience in product and software development, preferably in complex embedded systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Rust, Python, and microservices development.
  • Experience with RTOS (Linux, VX Works) or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of Ethernet protocols such as TCP/IP.
  • Familiarity with standards such as CENELEC SIL4 / DO178A / DO178B.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Flair for learning technologies specific to the railway domain.
