Microsoft Silicon Engineering is looking for a Silicon Front End CAD Azure DevOps Engineer in Bangalore, India. This role involves owning and scaling Azure cloud environments, building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and developing automation for front-end silicon design flows. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of experience in CAD/EDA infrastructure, software development, or DevOps engineering, with a strong focus on Azure and Python.

Ansvarsområden

  • Own, administer, and scale the Azure cloud environment for the Central FE CAD team, including subscriptions, resource groups, capacity management, and monitoring.
  • Build, maintain, and continuously improve Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for FE CAD flows and software, covering build, run, release, regression, quality gates, and artifact management.
  • Own the DevOps methodology for the group, including branching, version control, code review, release processes, test automation, and environment management.
  • Develop, enhance, and integrate FE CAD flows and automation using production-quality software in Python (and TCL/Perl/C++ as needed).
  • Partner with stakeholders to collect TFM and infrastructure requirements and translate them into a roadmap.
  • Collaborate with EDA vendors, Azure platform teams, and IT/security to adopt optimal and secure solutions.
  • Drive reliability and incident response for CI/CD and cloud infrastructure through monitoring, dashboards, root-cause analysis, and preventive automation.
  • Mentor team members and summer interns.

Krav

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in CAD/EDA infrastructure, software development, or DevOps engineering.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
  • 3+ years of experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred) and version control systems (Git preferred).
  • Experience writing scripts/software with industry standard languages such as Python, TCL, Perl or C/C++ (Python preferred).

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Expertise in Azure security concepts (Entra ID, managed identities, Key Vault, network security, governance/policy).
  • Experience owning DevOps methodology at team or org scale (branching strategy, release management, test automation, infrastructure-as-code like Terraform, ARM/Bicep).
  • Familiarity with Front-End Tools, Flows and Methodologies, and exposure to front-end design and verification execution.
  • Object-oriented programming expertise and software development practices.
  • Experience owning and driving the end-to-end software development lifecycle for multiple complex projects.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS) and cloud cost optimization.
