As a Shipping Assistant in Pune, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procedures, controlling systems for smooth shipment movement, and monitoring national/international dispatches. This role involves preparing and monitoring all documentation, handling packing claims, and coordinating with various teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of machines and parts.

Ansvarsområden

Manage GMU and local machine/parts dispatches, including planning, packing, documentation, and booking.
Coordinate Free Supply dispatches and transfers of machines and spares.
Put away finished goods and maintain records for up to 5 years.
Procure packing materials such as plywood, pinewood, and rubberwood.
Oversee transportation from Dapodi, Pune to various destinations, including sea/airports and local customers.
Follow up with sales for dispatches and prepare E Way Bills.
Coordinate and support the daily work of the team, monitor processes, and act as a link between the team and support functions.
Develop knowledge of key processes and tools, and close competence gaps through training and audits.
Control quality, deviations, and line stops, focusing on waste elimination and improvements.
Make and follow up detailed plans for the cell/area, and support immediate problem-solving when needed.
Ensure safety, quality, and delivery cost are managed effectively as a process owner.
Ensure timely dispatch and handover of documents to relevant teams for dispatch execution.
Ensure clear and correct documents are handed over to transporters and CFS agents.
Ensure safe material handover to CFS and damage-free shipment for the end customer.
Adhere to the 7 R principles: Right product, quantity, condition, place, time, customer, and cost.
Ensure correct documents are provided to the consignee and all Incoterms & Excise Guidelines are followed.

Krav

Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a similar field.
Knowledge of store and warehouse processes.
Knowledge of ERP and MM tools.
Overall supply chain understanding.
Good cross-cultural understanding.
Ability to record and maintain data accurately.
Educate workmen on job hazards and prevention methods.
Ensure provision and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Take prompt corrective action for unsafe conditions and acts.
Investigate accidents and report incidents with corrective action plans.
Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with HSE procedures.
Ensure machines and equipment are maintained in safe working conditions.
Prepare HIRA, Aspect & Impact, and OCP for controlled activities.
Monitor operational controls and maintain records.
Support accident prevention and loss control activities.
Ensure every employee works safely with required devices and procedures.
Ensure appropriate PPE is used by every employee.
Take all responsible precautions for employee and property protection.
Issue work permits for hazardous locations or activities.
