Alfa Laval is seeking a Shipping Assistant in Pune to manage and implement procedures for smooth shipment movement, including monitoring transportation and courier dispatches, and preparing all necessary documentation. Ansvarsområden
- Manage GMU machine and parts dispatch, including planning, packing, documentation, and loading.
- Oversee local machine and parts dispatch, including freight quotations and approvals.
- Handle local free supply dispatches and MTN dispatch to Talegaon.
- Coordinate transfers of machines and spares from HSS to AMM & HSSM.
- Put away all finished goods and maintain records for up to 5 years.
- Procure packing materials like plywood, pinewood, and rubberwood.
- Manage transportation from Dapodi Pune to Sea Port & Airport, and local customer/courier dispatches.
- Follow up with sales for dispatches.
- Prepare E Way Bills.
- Coordinate and support the daily work of the team/shift.
- Monitor processes and performance within the team.
- Act as a link between the team, support functions, and TM.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of key processes and tools.
- Address competence gaps through training/coaching and conduct SOP audits.
- Control quality, deviations, and line stops.
- Focus on waste elimination and improvements.
- Create and follow up on detailed plans for the cell/area.
- Provide immediate problem-solving support to operators/team members when needed.
- Ensure safety, HSE, quality, and delivery cost as process owner.
- Ensure dispatch on time and proper handover of documents.
- Ensure clear and correct documents are handed over to transporters and CFS agents.
- Ensure safe material handover to CFS.
- Achieve damage-free shipments for end customers.
- Adhere to the 7 R principles (Right product, quantity, condition, place, time, customer, cost).
Krav
- Graduate with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the same field.
- Knowledge of store and warehouse processes.
- Knowledge of ERP and MM tools.
- Overall supply chain understanding.
- Experience with suppliers, internal and external.
- Good cross-cultural understanding.
- Good communication skills.
- Eagerness to adopt new skills and accept challenges.
- Strong analytical skills.

- Conduct regular safety inspections.
- Ensure compliance with HSE procedures and regulations.
- Ensure machines and equipment are maintained safely.
- Prepare HIRA, Aspect & Impact, OCP for controlled activities.
- Regularly monitor operational controls and maintain records.
- Support accident prevention and loss control activities.
