Sandvik Mining is seeking an experienced Service Technician - Leading Hand for their Mt Isa, QLD workshop. This role involves performing diagnostics, maintenance, rebuilds, and repairs on mining and construction machinery, along with team coordination and quality assurance. An Australian recognized Mechanical or Auto Electrical Trade Certification is required.

Ansvarsområden

  • Conducting general mechanical and auto electrical duties, including maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnosis on Sandvik Mining equipment.
  • Executing mechanical and auto electrical maintenance tasks according to maintenance plans.
  • Offering feedback to enhance maintenance planning and efficiency.
  • Keeping meticulous records of parts usage, equipment monitoring, and time logs.
  • Strictly adhering to all policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on EHS policies.
  • Assisting in conducting daily resource planning.
  • Evaluating the quality of work of the team.
  • Providing relevant feedback to enable maintenance planning improvements.
  • Assisting the Workshop Supervisor to mentor, motivate, train & evaluate team members.
  • Supporting and conducting team meetings and communications.

Krav

  • Based near Orange, NSW.
  • Australian recognized Mechanical or Auto Electrical Trade Certification.
  • Demonstrated experience with Sandvik trucks, loaders, and drilling mobile mining equipment (advantageous).
  • Strong and proven safety culture.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Previous leadership experience.
  • Motivation and determination to achieve targets and goals.
  • Proactive, self-motivated attitude and ability to take initiative.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Class C Manual Driver’s License.
  • Right to live and work in Australia.

  • Experience with Sandvik trucks, loaders, and drilling mobile mining equipment is a distinct advantage.
