Atlas Copco Compressors LLC is seeking a Service Technician for a remote position based in Fremont, California. This role involves performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of air compressors and related systems, as well as providing excellent customer service. The position requires technical experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel within the assigned territory.
Ansvarsområden
- Perform routine preventive service, troubleshoot and repair air compressors, air dryers, drains, controllers, and low-pressure blowers.
- Set, install, and pipe compressor systems.
- Absorb higher-level learning including VSDs, refrigeration, industrial networks, remote monitoring, and air audits.
- Pressure wash and clean customer equipment pads.
- Communicate with customers and Service Manager regarding services performed and repair options.
- Complete service-related documentation.
- Attend training at Air Academy and train with Senior Service Technicians.
- Promote and practice proper safety procedures and correct use of personal protective equipment.
- Provide a high level of customer service and respond to customer needs.
- Participate in a rotating 24/7/365 on-call pool, including travel to customer locations and possible overnight stays.
- Be subject to random drug testing.
Krav
- 1-2 years of technical experience in the mechanical, maintenance, or electrical field.
- Experience with the maintenance, overhaul, and repair of a wide variety of industrial equipment, including electrical, hydraulics and/or pneumatics is preferred.
- Experience in HVAC is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks within assigned deadlines.
- Customer-focused with ownership of meeting customer needs.
- Ability to use computers to complete work orders, order parts, and for training.
- Supply all basic required tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and work in industrial environments including extremes in temperature with continuous walking, reaching, bending, and kneeling.
- Basic understanding of mechanics and electrical theory.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver's license.
- Fluent in English.
- Must reside within a reasonable commute (30 minutes to one hour) of the assigned territory.
- Must be able to park a company-issued, branded service vehicle at the place of residence without any restrictions.
Önskade kvalifikationer
- Certifications are a plus (EPA Certified).
- Occasional travel to Rock Hill, SC for paid training is required.
