Atlas Copco Compressors LLC is seeking a remote Service Technician based near Amarillo, TX, to perform routine preventive service, troubleshoot, and repair air compressors and related systems. The role involves direct customer interaction, documentation, and occasional travel for training and service calls. Candidates should have 1-2 years of technical experience in mechanical, maintenance, or electrical fields, with preferred experience in industrial equipment and HVAC.

Ansvarsområden

  • Perform routine preventive service, troubleshoot, and repair air compressors, air dryers, drains, controllers, and low-pressure blowers.
  • Set, install, and pipe compressor systems.
  • Display ability to learn VSDs, refrigeration, industrial networks, remote monitoring, and air audits.
  • Pressure wash and clean customer equipment pads, including skids, coolers, concrete, and tanks.
  • Communicate with customers and Service Manager regarding services performed and present repair/upgrade options.
  • Complete service-related documentation, including service reports, start-up forms, warranty forms, and oil sample forms.
  • Attend training at Air Academy and train with Senior Service Technicians.
  • Promote and practice proper safety procedures and correct use of personal protective equipment.
  • Provide a high level of customer service and respond to customer needs.
  • Participate in a rotating 24/7/365 on-call pool, requiring travel to customer locations, including out-of-town and overnight travel.
  • Be subject to random drug testing.

Krav

  • 1-2 years of technical experience in the mechanical, maintenance, or electrical field.
  • Experience with the maintenance, overhaul, and repair of a wide variety of industrial equipment, including electrical, hydraulics, and/or pneumatics is preferred.
  • Experience in HVAC is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks within assigned deadlines.
  • Customer-focused with ownership of meeting customer needs.
  • Ability to use computers to complete work orders and order parts.
  • Ability to supply all basic required tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Ability to work in industrial environments including extremes in temperature with continuous walking, reaching, bending, and kneeling.
  • Basic understanding of mechanics and electrical theory.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Reside within a reasonable commute (30 minutes to 1 hour) of the assigned territory (Amarillo, TX).
  • Must be able to park a company-issued, branded service vehicle at the place of residence without restrictions.
