Architect Network Job Description: Network Engineer – SDWAN, Routing, Switching, and Fortinet Expertise Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with a strong background in SDWAN, routing, switching, troubleshooting, and Fortinet SDWAN/ firewall technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced network solutions, creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and acting as the final escalation point for complex network issues. Key Responsibilities: 1 Network Design & Implementation:  Design and deploy SDWAN solutions tailored to organizational requirements.  Configure and manage advanced routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.  Implement and optimize Layer 2 and Layer 3 network topologies. 2 Fortinet SDWAN/ Firewall Expertise:  Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Fortinet firewalls, including advanced security features (e.g., IPS, VPN, SSL decryption).  Conduct periodic policy reviews and optimize SDWAN/firefall rules for performance and security. 3 Troubleshooting & Support:  Serve as the L3 escalation point for complex network incidents.  Analyze and resolve high-priority network outages, performance issues, and security incidents.  Utilize packet capture and monitoring tools to diagnose network issues. 4 Documentation & SOP Creation:  Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including topologies, configurations, and SOPs.  Create detailed workflows and procedures for routine operations and incident handling. 5 Performance Optimization:  Monitor network performance and implement measures to improve bandwidth utilization, latency, and reliability.  Assess and recommend upgrades for network hardware and software to support organizational growth. 6 Collaboration & Mentoring:  Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network solutions.  Mentor and guide L1 and L2 engineers, providing technical expertise and training as needed. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Technical Expertise:  Proficient in SDWAN technologies (e.g., Cisco Viptela, Fortinet SDWAN, or equivalent, Wireless).  Strong understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and switching concepts (VLANs, STP, EtherChannel).  Hands-on experience with Fortinet products, including FortiGate firewalls.  Familiarity with VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN) and network security best practices. • Problem-Solving Skills:  Proven experience in troubleshooting complex network issues using tools like Wireshark, SolarWinds, or equivalent.  Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes. • Documentation & SOPs:  Strong capability in drafting technical documents, SOPs, and network diagrams using tools such as Visio. • Certifications (Preferred):  Fortinet NSE 4/5/6 or higher.  Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE).  Other relevant certifications in SDWAN and network security. • Experience:  Minimum 7-10 years of hands-on experience in network engineering roles, including responsibilities.
