I korthet

Vi söker en erfaren Service Designer till vårt Advanced Technology Centre i Newcastle. Du kommer att spela en nyckelroll i att forma heltäckande tjänster som är intuitiva, tillgängliga och fokuserade på användarnas behov, och som fungerar sömlöst över digitala och icke-digitala kanaler. Rollen innebär samarbete i tvärfunktionella agila team för att skapa tjänster som levererar meningsfulla resultat för både användare och kunder.

Ansvarsområden

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business goals and user needs.
Support user research activities and use insights to inform design decisions.
Champion user-centred design practices, accessibility, and inclusive design.
Create service blueprints, journey maps, and other service design artefacts.
Facilitate workshops to align stakeholders and gather valuable insights.
Ensure services align with established design standards and best practices.
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including Researchers, Designers, Developers, and Analysts.
Present design decisions and recommendations to stakeholders and clients.
Use evidence, data, and testing to continuously improve service experiences.
Identify pain points and opportunities across end-to-end user journeys.

Krav

Experience working as a Service Designer or in a similar user-centred design role.
Strong understanding and application of Government Digital Service (GDS) design principles.
Experience advocating for User-Centred Design and evidence-based decision making.
Experience influencing and engaging senior stakeholders.
Experience working with design systems, design patterns, style guides, and service standards.
Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to analyse complex problems and translate insights into effective service improvements.

Önskade kvalifikationer

Experience working within Agile, Scrum, or other multidisciplinary delivery environments.
Experience using HTML, Markdown, Nunjucks, or similar prototyping tools.
Strong knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
Experience mentoring, coaching, or supporting other designers.
Experience working on large-scale digital transformation or public sector programmes.
