Azure Storage is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to guide customers on Azure Blob Storage for AI and machine learning workloads. This role involves managing complex initiatives, driving service growth, advocating for customer feedback, and proactively mitigating risks.
Ansvarsområden
- Engage directly with large AI-focused customers to provide architectural guidance on Azure Blob Storage for HPC and ML workloads.
- Manage large, complex Azure storage technology initiatives, delivering critical solutions and improvements.
- Understand Azure Storage system architecture to develop and execute technical strategies for service growth.
- Capture and advocate for customer feedback to influence Azure Storage technical priorities and business strategy.
- Define clear goals and objectives, driving to crisp decisions and outcomes through effective communication.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks, bringing them to the attention of the team and stakeholders.
- Increase team productivity and effectiveness by reducing complexity and inefficient operational tasks.
Krav
- Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years of experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development, OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
- Required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Önskade kvalifikationer
- Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years of experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development, OR equivalent experience (preferred).
- 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects (preferred).
- 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos) (preferred).
- 3+ years' experience with strategic customer engagement (preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in a technical role managing or supporting product, service, or infrastructure underlying systems (preferred).
- Experience with AI/ML workload patterns including training, fine-tuning, and RAG (preferred).
- Experience applying AI to engineering workflows and product architectures for improvements and efficiency (preferred).
- Experience using AI-assisted diagnostics, automation, or operational workflows and familiarity with observability, telemetry, reliability engineering, and automated operations (preferred).
- Experience supporting high-concurrency architectures, low-latency services, and high-throughput systems, with expertise in service resiliency, performance troubleshooting, capacity management, and production operations (preferred).
- Experience overseeing and coordinating large-scale projects related to public cloud services (preferred).
- Experience implementing and maintaining cloud infrastructure on Azure (preferred).
- Excellent relationship-building skills and a proven track record of effective cross-team collaboration and influence without direct authority (preferred).
- A sense of ownership, detail orientation, follow-up, and collaboration skills with engineers, architects, product leaders, and executives (preferred).
Förmåner
- Base pay range: USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year (US)
- Potential for different ranges in San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area (USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year).
