HCLTech seeks a Senior Technical Lead to design and build the AI intelligence layer for enterprise applications, focusing on LLM-powered pipelines, agentic workflows, and RAG systems. This role requires strong Python skills and a focus on production reliability.

Ansvarsområden

Design and build natural language to SQL (NL2SQL) pipelines, including schema grounding, prompt construction, validation, and error recovery.
Build and maintain LangGraph-based agentic workflows with state machine design, tool-use orchestration, and memory management.
Implement RAG and GraphRAG systems, focusing on chunking, embedding models, hybrid retrieval, reranking, and grounded answer synthesis.
Design and maintain knowledge graph schemas for business domain semantics.
Build and operate LLM evaluation pipelines using RAGAS metrics, LLM-as-judge patterns, and custom quality metrics.
Optimize LLM API usage across Vertex AI and Gemini, including prompt caching, model tiering, and cost attribution.
Implement end-to-end vector embedding pipelines, including document chunking, embedding generation, index construction, and maintenance.
Write clean, async FastAPI endpoints for exposing AI capabilities with streaming support and OpenAPI documentation.

Krav

Python — 5+ years of production-grade engineering experience (async/await, Pydantic, type hints, modular package design, pytest).
LangChain or LangGraph — production experience building chains, agents, or state machines.
LLM APIs — practical understanding of Vertex AI/Gemini, OpenAI, or Anthropic, including context windows, token budgets, structured output, and cost optimization.
RAG architectures — hands-on experience with chunking, embedding model evaluation, retrieval quality measurement, reranking, and hybrid search.
SQL — fluent in complex query writing (joins, window functions, CTEs, subqueries) and comfortable with BigQuery and PostgreSQL dialects.
Vector search — production experience with pgvector, Vertex AI Vector Search, Pinecone, Weaviate, or ChromaDB.
Prompt engineering — systematic approach including few-shot design, chain-of-thought, output structuring, and iterative evaluation.

GraphRAG or knowledge graph experience (Neo4j, Spanner Graph, Amazon Neptune with GQL or Cypher).
NL2SQL specialisation (text-to-SQL systems, schema linking, value grounding, or SQL correctness evaluation benchmarks).
LLM fine-tuning experience (instruction tuning, LoRA or QLoRA on domain datasets).
FastAPI production patterns (background tasks, lifespan event management, dependency injection, SSE, middleware).
GCP Vertex AI platform experience beyond inference (Vertex AI Pipelines, Model Registry, Evaluation Service).
Enterprise domain depth in areas like retail analytics, financial services, healthcare, supply chain, or HR analytics.
